Food in Kuantan is available in most parts of the city. You would be able to find almost any type of local cuisine in Kuantan. In around the malls are a lot of shop houses that serves anything from nasi lemak to satay to nasi dagang and many others. If you are not local, you should try out food like Otak-otak, which is typically fish paste barbequed in coconut leaves.

You should be able to find a satay shop just around the Vistana Hotel area which serves great marinated barbecued satay. You can start by looking for the Keropok Lekor a local snacks which is made from fried fish cakes style. As Keropok Lekor is originally from Terengganu, you might find those found here to be slightly different especially when you buy them from Mok Nah or Pak Soh 2.
Chinese food here can be found in most coffee shop although a lot of them tend to sell sea food as it is a coastal city. Otherwise the usual wan tan noodle, tau foo, chicken rice and fried noodles would be easily available.
